Start Saving Money Right Now

Food is a necessity, and it can get expensive, but you can still save money while shopping.  Even if you think you can’t cook, try it, It is less expensive than eating out.

Before you shop for food, make menus for the week including lunch for work.  If you like sandwiches as lunches, you will likely have more leftovers during the week.  The first few days of your menu can be created by looking in your freezer and cabinets. Make a list of the meats you already have and then decide what dish you will make using the pastas and rice you already have in your kitchen. If you have no food in your house, that is okay too, we all have to start somewhere.  A list is your best bet, otherwise you will either forget what you need to buy at the store or end up buying things you already have. List what you want to eat that week and everything you need to make each dish.  Check your cabinets to make sure you don’t already have the ingredients on your list.  When you are ready to go shopping, take your list and only buy what you need.  This will save you time during the week from stopping at the store very other day.
