Stop Shopping Now

If you want to save money, stop shopping now.  This may sound like a no-brainer, or you may think, “Hey, I need to buy food” but do you shop from a list?  Do you veer off the beaten path and stop at the shoe store on your way home?  Do you let your kids predict what goes in your shopping cart because you don’t want to argue or you don’t want your little one to have a tantrum on isle 3?  Just say NO, to your kids and yourself.

Shopping at Sam’s, or Costco saves time and also a buck or two, but while you are going from the ketchup to the detergent you have to cross the clothing section.  This is when that 20 pack of socks catches your eye, or you spot a white coat for little Suzie with a faux fur lined hat for church.   Don’t do it.  It doesn’t matter if it is on sale, just stop.  Just say NO.  It isn’t on your list.  You can plan a clothes shopping trip another time, take it out of your shopping cart and subtract it from your bill.

Always remember, when you leave your house, you are spending money, whether it is in gas, or stopping to get a bite to eat, or your main reason for leaving the house in the first place.

It is time to start controlling yourself, and your life.

Money is a necessity, we all need it.  Money is not the root of all evil.  The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.
